I agree with that, but after mom starts seeing Kinect she wont want Wii Fit.  My wife just watched the briefing with us and she thought Your Shape looked awesome and thought she would get a much better workout with Kinect.  Why? Because its true.

She also loved the idea of not needing a remote to control a movie or music.

Your wife isn't exactly representative of the average wife, because she's got a husband who is eager to get her away from the Wii and its games on every possible occasion.

If it was up to me we would never have gotten a Wii.  Yet she wanted it and we got it. Has she been happy with it. Not really. To her it hasnt lived up to the hype.  Believe me she isnt an Xbox fan either, but she loved the way that controlling media was shown.  She said lets get that just for that capability.  She also loves Facebook and liked how the software integrated with Facebook.

If you have paid attention to the non-gaming press you would see that they have said very good things about experiences with Kinect.
