If they are spending $149.99 that means you already own an Xbox 360.  So with that in mind why not have the more powerful console and the motion system that is superior?  Not to mention you are out at BestBuy and making the purchase and you say well we will need a 2nd controller setup as well.  Mom says she wants WiiFit. If mom says she wants Wii Fit, then she will get Wii Fit and that's exclusively available for the Wii. The wife will get her way, that's how things work.

I agree with that, but after mom starts seeing Kinect she wont want Wii Fit.  My wife just watched the briefing with us and she thought Your Shape looked awesome and thought she would get a much better workout with Kinect.  Why? Because its true.

She also loved the idea of not needing a remote to control a movie or music.
