people will but HALO games too on a PC but they do not make anywhere near the impact they do on CONSOLES

GEARS 1 was on PC but it made more impact on CONSOLE

The reason Gears 1 made more impact on console is because it was released on the 360 first and then ported to PC a year later.

This will not be the case if FF14 was released simultaneously on PS3 and PC.

it would have as PC impact would definately have been lower

you can see all the games mostly console history will do better on consoles

You're right, games like Final Fantasy with a long history with consoles will do better in consoles but that's not the case with FF14 because:

1- It's not a single-player RPG experience like most in the series, it's an MMO like FF11.

2- MMO games have a much bigger fanbase on PCs than consoles.

3- PC sales will undoubtely take a good chunk off the PS3 sales just like what happened with Mass Effect 2 when it was released simultaneously on 360 and PC.

4- Most MMOs play better on PC because of easier and better interface. note: I don't know if this case will apply to FF14 because I don't that much about it.

EVEN if it doesn't do normal FF numbers

it will make an impact which PS3 needs and that was the point

Okay, in all honesty, I dont understand your point well in this post.

My previous comments were about correcting your weak comparisons of PCvsConsole sales arguement.

Yes, FF14 will have an impact on PS3 but since it's NOT an exclusive, PC will take a good chunk off the overall sales.

yes PC will take a good chunk but an exclusive it will make some impact  on the console market which we discuss sales of

other consoles will be impacted by it even if little but in the console maket it does and mostly PC gaming isn't included
