I wouldn't go that far. The real issue wasn't that it was so casual focused. The issue was that pretty much every game they showed for Kinect was a Wii game without a controller. Oh, and everyone saying "My daughter/wife/grandmother loved the look of Kinect", are they the ones who are going to buy Kinect? |
I think for all of the households that ALREADY have an Xbox, odds are good that if there's a daughter/wife/grandmother in the house, Kinect would be a likely purchase.
For all those households without out one, no. Assuming the Kinect kits are $150 on top of a $300 console, no. Everyone will not be buying this. That is simply not accessible enough. If that's the pricing scenario, most of those with casual interest who said "yes, I'd like to play that!" will end up saying "no, I won't pay that much."
