The truth of the matter: Last E3, Shadow Complex glitched out. Splinter Cell Conviction had some glitches. It happens. E3 is the biggest show of the year for gaming. Microsoft had a lot riding on this. Rather than risk a live demonstration where we would see what the bottom of an Avatar's foot looks like (*BAM!), they went the pre-recorded route. Nintendo did this with Starfox back in 1992. In fact, check out the latest issue of Game Informer. Even the folks at Naughty Dog said that Uncharted 2 had some serious glitches that couldn't be ironed out by E3 of last year. They were terrified that something would go wrong during the live demo so, they had somebody playing the game backstage (copying what the live demo was showing) and if things went wrong, they would switch to the back-up player. Luckily, the game didn't glitch.
So, the video was pre-recorded. When it releases, I'm sure it will perform as advertised.
