Why two versions?  Will some games only work on one?  This sounds odd to me.   With Kinect MS are looking at potentially having to split their user base into two - those with Kinect and those without.  With two versions that could split smaller, which isn't good.

Even with the Wii's success overall it felt to me like MotionPlus struggled as it broke from the origianl configuration and split the install base, with few games really seeming to use it vs the larger install base without it.

Now MS and Sony seem to be gearing up to have multiple motion controller configurations in defiance of the wisdom of keeping things consistent from the start.

I'm confused.
