im trying not to judge to harshly so early on but, so far it seems very uninspired.

yes, it would be stupid to not copy the popular game concepts from the wii, but... they work on wii in a large part due to the presentation and packing. its cute. its fun. its not intimidating.... its effective for people who dont play video games.

this is the same game concept but MS is taking them too serious. 360 avatars are bland and dont inspire anything creative or fun. mii's make a huge part of this in the wii sports games. these casual games gone hd always have a very plastic and bland look. it dosent work... your not "realistically" playing tennis or archery. your simulating the action. it needs to be a bit whimsical. it needs charm and character.

hopefully 3rd parties will understand this more and can deliver something better than what MS is showing so far... (i have to say the same for sony as well. move party/sports has the same issue).

secondly, you need something more than ___ party, sports, dance. its already been done and millions of people own these games. you HAVE to have something on the platform that breaks out of the mold a bit to get peoples attention. sports, racing, party and pet clones... aren't going to do it.

we'll have to see over the next few days how things unfold but its looking shaky so far...
