Gaming - JRPG's are dead - View Post

please lest do NOT talk to me about a PSP right now (i lost my psp 3000 and it had valkyrie profile:lenneth in it).....it's somewhat of a tragic topic for me.

Back on the DS rpg's, I have played most of them....although not my DS....I hate to admit it has the R4 so ummmm...you know what that means. And yes I do swear on my grandmother's grave it is not my DS nor have I had any involvement in hacking, pirating, etc. I did however want to see what it had to offer and I wasn't compelled to get it. I did buy a PSP3000 for VP1 alone. Then I ended up getting Castlevania: SOTN on PSN, then FFVII, then bought rengoku, etc, etc. Now I have to save up for it again. I guess when it comes to tastes to each his/her own. I am curious about the SMT game on DS. As for FFIII I wouldn't call it a DS game really. It's like me saying "well by that account PS3 destroys the DS because on it I get Vagrant Story, FFVII, FFVIII, Xenogears, Suikoden, Grandia, etc." But in the end I guess since you bring out the fact that there is a vast quantity of rpgs on the DS then I cannot argue with you on that one. In the end I'd rather play 2-3 great rpgs than 10 mediocre ones (after the second pokemon it just got stupid to me and I apologize for not having the stomache for that series anymore). I say as far as replay value, Valkyrie Profile series has been good for that and more recently Resonance of Fate (currently my people are only lvl 80's when I beat the game, went to try out Neverland in NG at the beginning and got my ass handed to me).

P.S. If you play Demons' Souls still please let me know what level you are, I'm in NG and wouldn't mind a partner. I play a magician but I have been putting alot into hps and sta to survive onslaughts better. My character's in the 90's I believe.

Make games, not war (that goes for ridiculous fanboys)

I may be the next Maelstorm or not, you be the judge http://videogamesgrow.blogspot.com/  hopefully I can be more of an asset than a fanboy to VGC hehe.
