How you rate Kazuo Hirai first x-mas with PS3 and whats for the future?

It is MY opinion that the PS3 has the longest legs of any non hand held game console.

How many times have you seen on various gaming forums this phrase:

"I'll get a PS3 when X happens."

I've never seen anywhere:

"I'll get a 360 when X happens."
"I'll get a wii when X happens."

Have you?

1) I think the mentality of "I'll get A console when B game comes out" is a failure. A system should never been so dependent on a single game as to suffer from that. Only the PS3 truly suffers in this area as people with this mentality are literally still waiting for the good games to come out.

Think about it. That mentality is basically saying "Your entire console line-up is shit. B game is the only thing decent coming in the future."

2) Sadly some future Wii owners do have this mentality. The usual suspect is Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

 I don't buy the "entire console lineup is shit" theory. Everyone has their own tastes and to some extent, financial limitations. If X title pushes that person over the edge to purchase a PS3 and X title, are you saying they will not go pick up the other gems for the PS3 at some point?

I don't know why people would buy a console for 1 game. Personally, and not attempting to speak for anyone, when I bought my PS3 back in March, I bought it for the long term....not just one game.
