The jump controls weren't a deal breaker, but they did bother me enough so I wouldn't have bought the second one if that wasn't fixed. Since they were fixed, AND from what I understand save points (my second issue with the game) have been improved a little, yes this is day one.
Especially since now it apparently also has real co-op/multiplayer.
