Not really as they haven't announced Wii HD and if they don't this year and most probably will not it could be FATAL as for next gen they just can't bring an HD upgrade

Why would choosing nto to release an unnecessary 'upgrade' to the most popular console be fatal for a next gen of clean slate consoles?

AS the current popularity can help them with the release of their next console

 

if they release in 2012 the next Nintendo console,by then Wii's are maket share is just 40%,,that will be bad

 

also PS4 will be releasing cheap this time and MS as always would like to spend their money
