i was talking about 3D-TV where you don't need glasses. i saw that few weeks ago on a TV show where they test all kind of technical stuff. the best 3D TVs were the one where you need active shutter glasses.

Ah, I see.

If they can get 3D TV's working where you don't need glasses and you don't need to be directly in front, then I think we're actually ready for 3D at home.  Until then, there's just too much ranging from cost to the glasses that is going to keep it from being the next big thing.

Right now it's too much money and too much of a hassle with the glasses to make it actually worthwhile.  When the TV's can actually become affordable and you don't need the glasses, then I think more people will be open to it.

glassesless 3D tvs do exist, they just cost...a lot...a lot more then even buying 10 pairs of glasses.

by all means, i'd prefer glassesless options for the home but right now it just isn't feasible.  and if what i read is true the assumed tech in the 3DS, the 3DS won't support multiple users looking at the same screen which is not too big of a deal for what the 3DS is but still not exactly ideal...in an at home tv it would be complete fail.
