Right, that's why the glasses suck-- you pretty much have to have them and it just plain sucks having to have them.  They get smudged easily, they're annoying to wear because they're those terrible unisex glasses, and you have to have a pair for every possible person that might watch.

I've had as many as eight people crammed into my living rooms to watch movies, does that mean I need eight pairs of glasses?

Again, that's where Nintendo is doing things right-- you don't need the glasses.  Ever.

i highly doubt 8 people can seat at the same position right in front of a 3D-TV where you don't need to wear glasses. you seem to forget you have to seat exactlly rigt in front, not to far, not to near, not to much on the left or on the right side of the TV because it will get blury the same maner as if you dont wear glasses in a 3D cinamax/imax.
i don't get it why some people have problems with wearing 3D glasses?!? it's nearlly the same as sun glasses. by the way, if you are watching a movie, you're looking at the screen & not how others look like with glasses.

I actually know little about 3D TV's but you're definately not helping the 3D cause with your first paragraph.

Are you saying you have to sit directly in front (or close to in front) for it to even work?  If so, that's an even bigger fail since you're likely never to get more than 3 people in a standard living room.  Even then, it's three people crammed on a single couch.

And I don't care what I look like in the glasses, they just aren't comfortable.  I guess I could buy some designer ones for a couple hundred dollars but I have no desire to be that large of a tool.
