The saying is SONY put money into LA Noire...but the project was a disaster and SONY lost that money (LA Noire was for PS2 initially)

So now "Agent" is like a repayment for that money. I heard that on some podcast.

Yup.

Refer to my post above, I just said that same thing.

oh right just saw your post too.

So basically Agent has to stay exclusive.

well that may be true or it may not the reason:

this has been up for quite a while

February 6, 2010

Sony did fund Team Bondi on this project initially. However, the speculation is that Sony pulled funding because the company was not satisfied with the progress of the game. Apparently, Rockstar and Sony worked out another exclusive deal for a game (Agent) to be developed in-studio. In turn, Sony promised not to pursue the funds already invested in L.A. Noire.

this has not been disputed by Sony or Rockstar game's or take 2 but if you go to the official site for the game it still say's PS3 only:

so who know's

Ah, like the MS funded GTA IV episodes.  So that's why they stayed exclusive to the 360.  Except they didn't, as it ended up being a timed exclusive that could never be called that until it was announced for the PS3 and PC.

Unless they say "this game will NOT come to the 360 ever", Rockstar's history proves that this is likely a timed exclusive.  There is NOTHING in their history that would lead anyone to any other conclusion.

And if the PS3 gets its first for 9 months, why would any PS3 owners even care at that point?  The system gets enough exclusives now and is doing really good.  Don't be so selfish.
