they were selling the ps3s with 200$ loss for each console and they are still fine, why people keep saying that is beyond me.

Not quite fine, they've been losing money and laid off tens of thousands of workers.

That wasn't necessarily for those losess

 

but for restructuring as SONY previously had all its porducts separated into different departments and with the digitalise era coming in,they had to bring their movie,songs  stuff to other devices and and provide a better service.

like previously sony had a marketing  team for every product but they have one now which together does it for them as many of the services had to be interconnected and that is a good thing so they kept all the best and let the rest go
