If the price cut is true, it will definitely help Sony sell more consoles and improve their market share.

I can understand you saying the 360 might be doomed because the PS3 isn't THAT far behind, but saying the Wii is doomed might be going a little far. :P

i know but this is how i see it the playstation fan base (120 million) is still out there, if this kind of price cut happens i realistically cannot see why loads of them would not return back to ps, so yeah saying wii was doomed was a little harsh,  where what i meant was ps3 will outsell the wii for the rest of this generation  (if the price cut happens)

Yeah but expecting 120 million people from the PS2 fan base to move to the PS3 even at that price point sure is wishful thinking. Not to mention many of those 120 million people were into the PS2's casual market and now have the Wii, and no doubt some went to the 360. It might top the Wii for a few months (maybe more) once the price is cut, but I wouldn't say it would outsell the Wii for the rest of the generation. That's just what I think of course.
