| fastyxx said: I'm not sold on 3D. Was less than impressed when I tried it at CES this year. And how many PS3 owners actually have 3D-capable TV's? More processing power would be nice, of course, but then you have the lag in dev cycle where games aren't going to do much with it for 2 years after it's introduced - especially when 95% of the games are multi-platform and already aren't optimizing the platform's power. A new interface is welcome, in my opinion. I find the current one a bit cold. I'm also willing to spring for PSN Plus if it offers something worthwhile, pending price. If it does indeed offer free games each month, it'd be worth it - - though i am a bit skeptical on that. Offering people free games doesn't exactly further entice them to buy software. I wonder how devs/pubs feel about that. Obviously the ones who would be supplying the games for that month would be paid for them, but does it hurt the purchase of other games and therefore lessen the motivation for people to make new, exclusive awesome games? Hard to gauge that without more solid downloadable sales numbers. Looking forward to E3 on all fronts to get some details and facts with all the rumors regarding all games and platforms. :D Next week should be a national holiday! |
Its going to be Free apps. some will be games but just made by general public
As For the price at 199$ i really hope its true id buy it just to pla FF14. though id hate to be the guy that bought it at 499$ =/ and looking at prices like this.
It makes alot of sense price wise anything more is just to expencive if they want to fight under the new nintendo Market there is simply nothing Other to do then copy Nintendo and drop cost for consule unit.
Well they could inovate but that would actually take a few years of engeneering and working out the kinks. and thats taking for granted Sony has a devloment team of engeneers well funded with a Lab and a Company Memo and a vision about what it wants to make and that idea actually being good.
If they have this in place Plus this price drop. I can see PS3 reversing the situation of the Nintendo. But thats leaving Xbox 360 out of the equation. so
Id hate to be in Sony's or MS place right now. they have to pull somthing huge like this and it still has a chance at blowing all up in there face's
