Nah herpies you would get like ulsar type bumps (cold sores) similar to pimples but much harder and bigger. a lot of people get them near there mouth too, as well as on the cornea of their eye. The virus can be dormant in your body for years until you stress out too much and your immune system lowers hence causing an outbreak. So no you do not need to have sex to catch them.
