I think 3D castelvania can be a great thing. Just like SotN was improved by CD storage capabilities they could do much of the same with Blu-Ray. We can get more varied enemies and vistas. I just hope it isn't an entirely action fest. I like my platforming and exploration it's just that so few games get those parts correct in 3D that I don't want to get my hopes up again.
