Even if Sony lost this case they would still have the option to reinstate the feature rather that pay out any huge sum after all what is the point of security when the pill is worse than the problem it is meant to cure.
They should of just phased it out gently with introductions of new models both Slim and Fat with new box art and wordings rather than trying to retrospectively enforce this action. I actually think the complainants have a good case although what they hope to win I would imagine would be very small.
