I think download only is a fantastic model. It's true that not everyone has wifi, but that's why you go to Gamestop and download your game. Digital distribution is simply the way things are going and people will have to change if they want to keep up. Look at something like the iPhone, the Ap Store works beautifully and it's digital distribution only. True, they're smaller games but even the games that just can't be downloaded on 3G (there's a 10MB hard cap on all apps for downloading on 3G) still sell great.
As long as they learn from the vast amounts of mistakes made with the PSPGo it can work really well.
