Honestly, I call it the "Married with Children" effect.
if you ever watched the show early on, the characters were weird and stupid but were still people you could kind of relate too.
As seasons passed by, the characters were getting each time more and more a caricature. The situations they kept getting into got each time more absurd.
Lady Gaga seems to be doing the same. Her weird clothes and weird behaviour attracts attention, so as time passes by she does more and more of it to attract more or continue attracting attention. So, she keeps getting weirder, weirder and, well, uglier.
