The future is the World State, clearly. Community, Identity, Stability.
China and the EU are economic superpowers, but the US is the only economic and military superpower. China is on the path to becoming a true superpower, but the EU is uncertain. If it recovers sufficiently from the current slowdown and tightens military co-operation to create a standing EU army, the point may come when it can be considered a true superpower.
