I always think I'm right when I debate something, because if I think i'm wrong I STOP debating... you know, because I think i'm wrong. Why would you argue for something even you yourself don't believe. That's basically the definition of intellectual dishonesty.
As for it sounding narcisistic... once again I don't see how. If someone can constantly poke holes in every arguement you have... it's clear your arguement has holes and problems and should be reevalutated. Furthermore I stated that it happens to me all the time.
I for the life of me can't get what your going on about. First that it's that I keep finding flaws in your arguements that make me sound right.... and now it's that I think i'm always right in a debate?
There are plenty of opinions I can agree with that I disagree with.
However those opinions have well reasoned arguements behind them.
If you can't come up with an arguement to back up your opinion or someone elses other then "hey it's my opinion."
Your opinion doesn't deserve respect. Opinions MUST have something backing them up to be taken seriously.
Heck, otherwise I could say "Damon Jones is the best videogame developer in the world."
There is PLENTY of room for differing opinions. However said opinions need to be well supported. If you can see why they feel that way, you would do better to set out why people see it as such rather then the bogus "every opinion is just as right as the next" rhetoric... which even you seem to be doubting since you've yet to come out and say...
"Yes the opinion that Damon Jones is the best basketball player is just as right as the opinion that Michael Jordan is."
