It's disproven by their being no credible criteria in which to consider them the best.
Just like their is no credible criteria in which to consider Damon Jones the best.
For those agreeing... they've actually put forth no arguements on to why they consider them the best.
Looking at their catalogue is really all the proof you need.

Lets break down this catalogue.
The first 3 games are of little note.
Then you've got the Crash Bandicoot Games... games that were second/third best when it came to the 3D platformers of their time if your generous.
Jak and Dexter.... once again a series that was generally widely overshadowed by the like of Insominiac.
Then Uncharted 1 &2.
Any attempt to claim they were the best would have to be soley on the Basis of Uncharted and Uncharted 2 since there were many "above" them in prior years in their specific genres.
Even furtherso based pretty much on JUST Uncharted 2 being the only game with GOTY consideration.
That's like... well the afore mentioned claiming Wilt Chamberlin is the best center ever because he scored 100 points in one game or Kobe Bryant's 80. Bill Russel was better and playing at the exact time.
Uncharted 2 set a record for most GOTY awards (though partially because of the rapid increase in GOTY awards.)
A huge feat... however it's just 1 feat... for Developers like Miyamoto, Wright and Meyer... the list of accomplishments roll out the door.
