Out of curiosity, which machine are you playing it on? I tried FF6 last night, too, and the loading times didn't seem that bad to me, except for loading the menu. Maybe I just don't notice it that much?
Anyway, after seeing Locke's backstory with Rachel, it seems to me that FF13's characters are not as deep and interesting. And Sabin has Street Fighter-style attacks! How awesome is that?
