Thats a good worry BUT SONY made it clear it doesn't want shovelware on its platform a few days ago, I think SONY shares you worry & they'll be doing everything they can to prevent this 
The industry is too mainstream & powerful now for a Atari days disaster to happen, so that shouldn't worry you anyway. We have games debuting higher than blockbuster movies do nowadays, an Atari type disaster happening is slim,.

cool i dunno why people assumed i was attacking natal lool at least you understood my underlying worry, and like you said hopefully the industry is too mainstream now for that to happen, not to mention companies do seem to be making an effort to reduce the amount of shovelware which is good.

I do believe the industry is simply too big now & spread over so many countries for what your saying to happen, I hope you can understand this? Besides there is a core group of hardcore gamers in large numbers that buy games after researching a lot, back in the Atari days NONE of this was really there, gaming was at its infancy, at its most vulnerable & faith in gaming was still not that high.
Can't wait for The Last Story or Xenoblade either....particularly The Last Story lol
