And then make a game based on the movie of the movie that was based off a game series.

Recently, it's been Prince of Persia, before this was Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, and a whole list of other notable and not so well-known video game series.

I saw the trailer of the recent Tekken movie and I cringed when I realized it was going to be an authentic movie and wasn't some fan-made hoax.

I'm sick of them. Honestly, why do they make them if it just annoys fans? I just don't understand it.

I'm guessing it brings more attention to the series but attention isn't always a good thing. Look at how much hate the GTA series gets. It's like these video game companies only look at the money and don't realize that attention isn't always positive even with all the blame video games get now-a-days like with that young kid who supposedly mistook a gun for a wii-mote or those American soldiers who "acted like they were playing a video game" and shot at Iraqi civilians (including kids).

Video games are just used as an excuse to dissuade people from focusing on the bigger picture of these specific instances when they're blamed as a cause, such as the owner of the gun/father of the child leaving the loaded gun out in the living room table and not watching the kid or the fact that soliders ALWAYS kill innocent civilians in a war (Was there ever a war in human history where a civilian wasn't killed?).

I just can't stand hollywood movies based off games. They're hardly ever accurate and the acting is usually terrible regardless. To me, personally, it felt silly to watch as well back when I tried to keep a more open-mind on such things.

I don't watch them anymore but whenever I run into one of those commercials on TV or the internet because it's the new sensation of the month, I can't help but be annoyed.

I wish they would just stop. They should just go back to what they were good at or use different material entirely.

Make a new Star Wars or something, George Lucas seems to be willing to make more profit off his series with a new storyline and mini-series almost every two months or so. Make more of those terrible superhero movies that get worse and worse as they continue on to their 3rd or 4th sequels. Continue to make more explosive hollywood emo-action movies that have no point and have the same plot outline to them. Make more 'horror' movies where the innocent chastity girl survives at the end with some blunt weapon used to kill the evil boogey-man.

Just enough with the video game movies. They're terrible, they just discourage fans who like the actual video game series for what it is, and they bring hate from the more extreme groups such as soccer moms or politicians.
