unless its on a new engine and its a teaser to how awesome half life 3 will be! If this is the case, then i say bring on Left4Dead 3!

I would settle for this, yes. However Valve has always shown their new engines on Half-Life.

Actually counter strike source was the first game to debut with the source engine, but half life 2 looked a lot better than counter strike source in my opinion,

with that being the case, or my opinion at least, half life 3 would make best use of the new engine. 

Also source engine is 6 years old, I think it is time for a refresh

Yes, but CSS came out when HL2 and everything about the engine was known. It just happened to be finished faster than HL2.
