Follow your dreams dude- take it from me. I'm in SVA (School of Visual Arts) in NYC taking cartooning. Basically, I'm trying to become a comic book artist. It's not a job that gets a lot of money, in fact, you don't make much, and it's extremely hard of a field to make it in, but goddamn I actually love what I'm doing, and after experiencing this, I realized how much I would absolutely hate doing anything else in college and with my life. Follow your dreams, it'll be worth it. Besides, if you're doing 3D animation or something like that, that's a field that actually makes money (well, more than most other artists.) If you have any questions about art college or computer art in general feel free to ask :)
