Well I don't think anyone should be surprised. Rare has been out to pasture for a long time mostly living on it's rep of the SNES and N64 days. Remember the uproar when Nintendo sold Rare to MS. The reason was that they felt Rare did not have the software lineup that Nintendo was interested in. Well look at them now. They have moved mostly to utilitarian developer with a game here and there. On top of that there game don't seem to hold the appeal and enthusiasm of the consumers that they once did.
There's nothing wrong with the logo. It's not the old style because the old style said "hip, cool, we are gamers, we are fun". This new logo clearly says there company profile. Business, utility, conservative, GUI stuff. Well I think MS did a good job with what is left of Rare. I think everyone needs to congratulate them in finally moving on to be a new form of console designer. Tools
Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.
