those individuals were as much civilians as the taliban are.

How exactly? They didn't bring any actual weapons, everything was what you would typically find in a mob and taken from items on the ship. No guns, no explosives. They attacked armed soldiers who had questionably boarded their ship. For all we know these civillians had good reason to fear for their lives when they attacked the soldiers with make-shift weapons. I very much doubt the taliban would bother taking ships with humanitarian aid to Palestine even.

They had as much reason to fear as the peace activists on the other five boats - none.
Also, pay attention that the only boat with any sort of harm done to the activists, is the one in which the atcivists lynched the lightly armed soldiers, without giving them a second to say anything.

I also think that this is the only boat with Muslims on it, but I didn't check out this deep enough so i'll leave it like that.

Also - with all the fear in the world, what peace activist will stab a soldier of a country who's blockade he's trying to breach, are you kidding me?

About the Palestinian state - I'll have to read more about the world state of recognising one, thanks for opening my eyes about it.

Bet with Dr.A.Peter.Nintendo that Super Mario Galaxy 2 won't sell 15 million copies up to six months after it's release, the winner will get Avatar control for a week and signature control for a month.
