It would be a very good time, considering that the 60Hz sample rate of the camera by itself brings almost 17ms. It's close enough to normal controller lag that the input analysis would most likely not need extra frames (the usual target is about 100ms, or three frames at 30fps).

I'm not sure what he means, though, when he says "from movement to delivering to the screen". Is he talking of the pointing mode of the libraries, i.e. the intrinsic lag of screen coordinate readings?

Take those numbers with a pinch of salt, guys.

PS: I don't have any numbers for Motion plus. Without M , the Wiimote sends the numbers at more that 60Hz and its IR camera reads at 100Hz, so it's in the range of 10-17ms. Basically most latency you see in its use as pointer comes from the software elaborating those raw data and from the display latency.
