I fixed my 60GB PS3 4 days ago with a very crazy idea (see video below). Of course I added a better layer of thermal paste (great brand). And I took an extra step by making my fan run at full speed all the time. So far after 4 days, it's going strong and touching the spots that are usually hot as hell...not even a bit of warmth.
