how can someone compare tv ads and billboard ads... as we see in real life... with full and fresh packets of doritos randomly placed in the jungle?

I think the difference is that Alan Wake is an extremely compelling, atmospheric game which keep's you immersed for long period's of time. When something out of place happen's, it break's that whole mood (even if it's for a second), it's not a big deal, but it can be annoying. Metal Gear: Peace Walker isn't the same type of game, either is GTA, Bionic Commando etc, they aren't as serious in their storey telling and atmosphere as Alan Wake is.

Despite what you may think, the Verizon billboard was annoying because it was big and noticeable. I didn't pay to much to the TV advert's.

an ad on a billboard that could actually be there or a tv ad that could actually play take away from the game?
