Plenty of people my age like reading, they think of themselves as 'Well read individuals' and they all read books by Neil Gaiman, Dan Brown and Jeffrey Archer. I have the Dr. Seuss collection on my book shelf, I keep going back and reading the book's even though my friend's think they're for children, but any 'Well read individual' would know that every Dr. Seuss book has far more depth, imagination and food for thought than anything written by Dan Brown and Jeffrey Archer.

The 'Hardcore Gamer' isn't really related to game's, it's related more to society's view on colour, imagination and simple design. They see a game like Little Big Planet or Mario and they usually think about what other people would think of them for playing a game (or whatever) that society has labled as childish for many year's.

From what I've read, watched and heard. Anything colourful, simple (not the game but the layout) and clean isn't considered manly. If I wrote a wrote a book or played a game about an elf, a plumber, a space women and a magical kingdom 100 year's ago, people would probably think I'm childish or crazy. The same thing applies today, it's just less and less people are following that logic.

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.
