There is no way in hell Nintendo will consider dropping the price of the Wii until it stops selling out on a regular basis. Dropping the price of a sold out console is like giving away free money. They simply won't do it. Or do you think that a price cut would be able to boost their production as well? /sarcasm
*IF* (and its a big if) the Wii isn't sold out when and IF MS drops price. I still don't think Nintendo is likely to respond. Worst case the Wii will still be experiencing brisk sales and there is simply no reason to drop price then either...for the same reason that you wouldn't when it is sold out..because you would lose the full impact of a price drop to a lack of supply.
It's simply not going to happening.
