No

1) If I am going to get a Cell Phone, it should be free (I already pay thousands for the plan)

2) If I want a portable gaming device I want the one with the games I want. The PSP hasn't shown good support in the past beyond a handful of games I want so I couldn't justify buying it.

Oh, and there won't be free 4G networking if there is Skype and Netflix. You'll have to pay. If 4G was free, then yes due to the thousands of dollars I would save over my regular cell phone use.

1) Which top line smart phone has been subsidized (spelling?) to become free? Can't think of one

2) That's subjective, the PSP has had plenty of games, but the main problem I have is that I'd prefer to play it on a TV screen, what I sugested earlier would fix that problem.

1) that's why I don't buy them. I still have my Sony Ericsson W300 that I got for free over 3 years ago. Hopefully I'll be upgrading to another free Sony Ericsson in the near future when I add my brother to the line and split the bill with him to save some money.

2) so was the first.

Smart phones are a waste of money due to how much you need to pay a month just to use any of the features.

Now, if the OP had said something like

it supports and had lots of 1st and 3rd party support.

I'd be more inclined to say yes.

I disagree, I cannot live without smartphones anymore and I pay < 50 bucks a month for everything on mine, which incluces unlimited data on mine over a 3G network.

You probably didn't read my suggestion to give a TV out and/or a portable projector for the PSP which it would allow us to play PSP games on the big screen TV and using the DS3 over blue tooth. PSP1 has had plenty of first and JP 3rd party support, the problem has been Western 1st party support. If you don't like the games available on the PSP that's ok because it's subjective, but to say ther PSP hasn't shown good support in the past beyond a handful of games is wrong.
