If there is a PSP 2 then it will definately have:

  • Internal memory of at least 8GB
  • Capacitive touch screen
  • Reasonably powerful processor.

The reason why the PSP fails is not because it has only one analogue stick so to fix it you need two, the reason why it failed is because people do not want the experience on the go which the PSP offers. Putting an additional analogue stick on it would introduce additional fail not fix any of the percieved issues. Not enough people want the experience offered by the PSP on the go which is why the software sales suck.

If anything the PSP2 will be a iTouch competitor because Sony will stick a really large screen or maybe even bifold screen but they will not be going back to significant buttons, D-pads etc because these take away from screen realestate. It will not have a UMD drive, this is definately a no go. If it does have an analogue stick then it will be as a pathetic little nub like on those old laptops before they had touch pads.

Tease.
