Gran Turismo 5 will outsell Smash Bros for sure, Wii Fit is a dumb comparison, GT5 vs Mario Kart will be close.
If your next comment is "well look at how much they sold with the smaller install bases of GC and N65. they'll sell *insert multiplier* more." It doesn't work that way, if people love those games so much, in the past they would have bought the system anyway.
No Smash Bros game has come within 2 Million of prior Gran Turismo games. Only Mario Kart 64 has reached sales that rival Gran Turismo. (barely beating out GT2 and GT4)
