I can go fight in the army and die for my country at 18, but I can't drink until I'm 21?

The idea isn't to die for your country, you serve for your country. You get financally compensated for your service as well. Also, no one is forcing you in the army.

Frankly I don't care if they banned alcohol all together. Its responsible nothing good and I prefer pot anyway.

You are missing the whole point of the statement. The fact is, 18 year olds go to war and many die for their country, but none of them can even have a drink. It doesn't matter if they pay you, money is no good if you are dead. They care if you drink, but it is ok to let people die from going to war at such a young age?

agree 100%

the thought of those young kids getting maimed for life though depresses me maybe even more than the thought of lost life for a cause that still isn't 100% clear to me let alone a group of kids fresh out school fueled by raging hormones. who can't even legally drink yet.

It just gets me down so I'm outa here.
