that is a possibility, never thought about that.

They are probably making a nice profit margin on every Go Sold + we have no real idea how well DDs are selling (or do we? I dont think so tho) which do not have the retail cut = more profit.   Very possible this ended up being a fairly cheap (or a bit profitable) experiment.  Would be nice to "try" things out that do not cost you money in the long run isnt it?

 

I hope they at least get 2 things from the PSPGo

1) The price was not to high, it was just to high for the time (middle of the PSPs life cycle is a bad time to "raise" the price on the handheld)

2) Customers still want the OPTION of physical media (IE next gen, do not make a new storage device, but use protected, Read-Only memcards)

 

They were on the right direction with more PS3 compatiblity, but I hope their next offering (new PSP model or a PSP2) has even more Ps3 connectivity.
