I'm pretty sure Wii Sports worked on Wii :P |
Yeah, and I said it before in this thread, I'll say it again: Wii Sports (and Resort to a lesser extent) was new, fresh and compelling, 4 years ago. It was novel back then, so it worked, people loved it (and a lot still do). It's the original, the one that was revolutionary and set the bar. Then, a vast sea of clones and ripoffs followed, and the more were released, the less they sold. It's been done to death.
I'm just skeptical as to how Sony plan to make a game that in essence offers pretty much the same experience as WS/WSR into a success. I mean, the Move game even features the same kinds of sports, like archery, swordfighting and tabletennis. The prettier graphics are a moot point, imo, because if this gen has proven anything, it's that casuals don't care about graphics, in the least. (And these elusive casuals are the exact audience Sony wants to lure in with Move. It's not for their existing hardcore base, these people already bought PS3's, they want to expand their market and capture the Wii audience, they even said so themselves in interviews.)
