My main beef is that my vision isn't as sharp as it is with glasses, largely thanks to a slight astigmatism in one of my eyes. It's good enough for out in the world, but it's a total pain if I want to focus on text. I love being able to wipe moisture off my corrective lenses with my eyelids though. Glasses are lousy in bad weather. So my answer is both. |
Maybe your doctor didn't deem it irritating enough, but IMO if you're not happy with your vision like that, you should talk to him/her.
I have astigmatism as well and that's not a necessary thing to endure with contacts (and I'm pretty sure it's been there for years, for both rigid and soft contacts).
This is what I have.
