but, come on, it is just a race at night ... I hope they have more on their pocket ... |
It's not just a race at night. It's THE RACE at night
This also opens up the possiblity of Le Mans 24 hours having night racing as well.
Personally, night racing was one my most wanted features on GT5, and I wanted to see how far they would take that feature. To actually race the Nurb at night, is going to be the most hellish experience I've ever had in a sim racer. The old track doesn't have any means of illumination other than your own car headlights. And we all know how hellish the Nurb is already, even at day.

I m just saying, it is not that jaw dropping for the average gamer

The average GT gamer doesn't even get to the endurace races, much less have a shot at the Nurb 24H race. This is a great news to those GT fans that want to get the most out of the game.

you're right... i probably won't make it to the endrance races.
still, it sounds nice.

I didn't meant that in a bad way. The problem with getting to the endurance races is that you'll have to complete a pretty good portion of the games (usually), and get the best licences, like I-A or S.
In GT4, that amounted to quite some dozen of hours (probably hundreds) of gameplay and struggle, especially getting the S-License, and getting through the Professional Championship.
Still, even then, the Nurb 24H endurance race was the single most difficult hardship the entire game threw at anyone. It was simply brutal. 198 laps around that track would be enough to crush even the most hardened racing vet out there, especially if you did the 24H straight and without B-Spec.
It's not that the average gamer doesn't have the skill to get there, it's more of it's a paramount achievement that few people even have the patience to do.

don't worry, i didn't take it in a negative way. i may have considered myself to be quite "hardcore" about 15 years ago, but that was a long time ago. these days i like the idea of being a hardcore gamer and i achieve this by buying games and not playing them.
if what you're saying is true then i absolutely won't make it there... but you do make it sound interesting.
