#1: Super Mario Bros. 3 ~ Nintendo Entertainment System
What can I say? No game ever captured me the way SMB3 did and continues to, to this day. In terms of perfect play, level design, deisgn, balance, etc there just is nothing wrong with this game at all, it's perfect.

#2: Xenogears ~ Sony PlayStation
Picking #1 was easy, but #2 was a tougher choice, one that probably changes frequently. Xenogears however would always have a spot near #1, where it lacks in actual gameplay it makes up for 10x over in the narrative, which is unmatched in gaming.

#3: Chrono Trigger ~ Super Nintendo Entertainment System
Chrono Trigger is just an amazing game, the atmosphere is so perfectly created and fits with every aspect of the game that you really get sucked in, it's one of few games that you really want to play to see every possible ending.

#4: Policenauts ~ Sega Saturn
Policenauts is Kojima's best game, you read right, not MGS, not Zone of the Enders, and not Snatcher, Policenauts. It takes the best parts of a buddy cop movie and pairs it with some great sci-fi elements and gameplay to create an amazing experience.

#5: Super Street Fighter 2X ~ Sega Dreamcast
Picking my favorite version of Street Fighter 2 was hard, I love Turbo and I love Championship Edition, but ultimately 2X on the Dreamcast takes the best of all the Street Fighter 2 incarnations and packages them into the ultimate fighting game.

#6: Final Fantasy VI ~ Super Nintendo Entertainment System
I've always been a fan of Final Fantasy and while most contest that FFVII or FFX are the franchise best ever really FF fan knows that FFIV is the best game in the series that showcases every great aspect about the series at it's peak.

#7: The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past ~ Super Nintendo Entertainment System
There is something to say about ALTTP, It was the first Zelda that really captured the sense of adventure for me, I had played Zelda 1 & 2 on the NES and while both are amazing games, ALTTP is miles ahead of them in every aspect.

#8: Goldeneye ~ Nintendo 64
I had played shooters before, most people probably had, but none of them were as fun as Goldeneye was, and while today I tend to stear clear of all things FPS Goldeneye is still a game I can play regularly.

#9: Final Fantasy VIII ~ Sony PlayStation
Final Fantasy VIII, love it or hate it, is a great game. The gameplay is fabulous, the Junction System being my favorite from any RPG ever, paired with a story that is equally strong and emotionally driven, it is the best of the PS generation.

#10: Metal Gear Solid 3 ~ Sony PlayStation 2
Metal Gear had to make this list somewhere, and while I love all the games MGS3 is just amazing beyond what the others can offer. The story is strong, the gameplay is leaps and bounds above it's counterparts, I couldn't put it down.
