| jbrist said: Well here's the Lens of Truth comparison: http://www.lensoftruth.com/?p=19855 I think you need to sign up since it's a members only comparison (Not sure why they do that...) But basically, the differences are pretty minor, the only difference is that the PS3 version was done in a lower resolution upscaled (Every CoD game has this, Alan Wake has this, Splinter Cell has this, it really isn't a problem), they use different Anti Alaising techniques, the draw distance for shadows on the PS3 isn't as good, and there's less shrubbery. But otherwise, they're pretty spot on, and I don't see why people should feel the need to complain. Seriously, people were saying this port is as bad as the Bayonetta one, no, it really isn't, I mean, it's not a good port, but it's not a bad one either, it's on par with the GTAIV port, which in my opinion was still playable... check out the comparison I posted and see for yourself. |
so this basically confirms RDR is not as bad on ps3 as some people made it out to be, no framerate problem, it is a lower resolution and has less objects such as shrubbery, but on a plus the load times are so much better than x360, weird that.
the ps3 version is not a bad port at all and this is a small difference compared to some ports (not bringing it up as I don't want to get banned)
it's the future of handheld
