Surely it will because, as already mentioned in this thread the games which specifically don't work/sell on the Wii are the hardcore type games. Surely Sony should be trying to differentiate their new control scheme from the Wii by it doing different(see, hardcore) types of games. By discouraging this type of thing on Move then surely 3rd parties will just bring out what they perceived to work on the Wii. Which means mini game compilations and so- called shovelware. It seems to me Sony are saying :- Don't bring games to our platform that won't sell. Not:- Don't bring bad games to our system. Unfortunately these are two different things. |
and why would it be a bad thing if 3rd party developer's that already make game's for the Wii know that their game will work on the PS3. except for one key factor the PS3 has the EYETOY that can add abilities that the Wii does not get. so one it help's secure 3rd party developer's toward making multiplatform that would of been only on Wii to now that they could make the game also for the PS3.
with of course add function in the game not found on the Wii..Maybe some augmented reality function but still an added function that would not be on the Wii ver.
with DLC being done that way on game's anymore this would not be a suprise if this is going the same route.

First of all i don't necessarily think it would be a bad thing. I think it would be perceived as a bad thing though by quite a few of Sony's hardcore fan base if there was a bunch of me-too Wii type party games released for Move. Also, why do so many people seem to think Move will have functions the Wiimote doesn't have? As has been discussed to death in many threads here, they both offer 1.1 control and both work off cameras. Yet people who haven't even so much as played a Move game, insist it has all these functions the Wiimote doesn't.

look while i respect your outlook on it. I have to disagree with your take that the PS3's eyetoy will not provide extra function's to the experience that the Wii does not offer with it's software. Like for many that only see the software that Sony has shown so far as "just Wii clone's"
for one the software is not even finished.
and if anything EYEPET proves added function's inside software that sony is offering in Move that the Wii is not offering anyway.
yes it's only one case right now but , aswe know of sofar what less than 20 game's have been shown for Move.
even at that what they showed was very early build's and even than the software worked pretty d@mn good for such early build's.

Yet again, you say yourself the SW isn't finished but you are saying Move has extra functions. How could you know that just by watching a trailer on the net? I would be very surprised if Move had any features/functions the Wiimote doesn't.
