Trust me, you don't have to try and educate me on how retail businesses work. I own one. I also know how hardware is revised and becomes cheaper. I have a feeling I know a lot more than you on pretty much everything you seem to talk about. That's why I keep trying to point out your errors.
And yes, the Amazon sale is temporary. I have seen it many times throughout the year to be back at the full price of $55.
Even shopping tracker sites show the median price of the DS3 to be $50 which means prices range from $45-55. In other words you are wrong again. No where is it available for $40 or lower.
In fact, most of the smaller stores sell them for higher than big stores because they have a much smaller cash flow and have to make higher profit margins per item. This is knowledge that comes from first hand experience with owning a retail business.

keep your shoping tracker to urself and your whole educational speech,
in fact smaller stores sell at higher price-it depedns from stores to store,if one near your house sells at high rate then don't blame me
many smaller stores also sometimes set all prices low so quantity of sales may see higher profits than just sell few at higher price for low profits.public from areas to areas act differently.
i got a DS3 for $42 DOLLARS in JAN and i think so it wouldn't cost it more than $30 to make

And the main model of DS3 on Amazon has been $55 quite a few times in the last year. I've personally seen it at least 3 or 4 times. These sales are temporary.
And I can guarantee you that the vast majority of small stores that sell video game stuff will sell it for a higher price than big stores.
