"Those are the types of things that we're trying to at least steer people away so they don't spend millions of dollars, come back to me and go, 'Eh... It didn't sell.' 'Well, okay. You never should have made it. It was never going to work anyway. It didn't work on the Wii for a reason. That category didn't. Why did you think it was going to work on this one as well?'"
I agree with him here, but there lies an underlying problem:
The casual games thrown onto the Wii for quick bucks were made by low-talent teams. I cannot really say anybody really specialized in making "casual/party/minigames" on the onset of this gen. With that in mind, what is the point of Move?
Move is supposed to attract new gamers (and those already on the Wii) with casual games that look and play better than the Wii ones. If Move is not going to receive excellent "casual/basic" games, then Sony will just be getting shovelware that will probably be more expensive than the Wii ones. Move cannot just be implemented in core games; that won't expand Sony's market.
